As a clear tribute to the amazing, loving being who was here with us for almost ninety years, and who continues to be with us as the divine spirit which reminded so many of their true nature and of the love which connects us all, Isa Lindwall's journey home was celebrated around the planet in many different ways.
In his home town of Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA, about a hundred family and friends gathered from the US and Europe for Isa's memorial service on Sunday April 22, 2007. As Lindwall Foundation Executive Director Jeannie Whyte writes: "At the end, Yolanda spoke and we sang together 'I Release and I Let Go' and Gina (Yolanda's daughter) led everyone dancing down the aisle around the room in celebration of our wonderful Isa. It was the best it could have been for such a devoted and loving man. I think all funeral services need to be a celebration like this."
Around the US, from New York to San Francisco, groups came together to remember Isa. On the island of Hawaii, a group gathered on Kailua Beach and laid out a flower wreath lei in the form of a heart on the sand, thanking Isa for the love and light he had brought into their lives, and kissing him with the sun not far from the sea which he loved so much. In Germany groups gathered in various locations in remembrance of Isa. One group had a two hour candlelight ceremony, which concluded with sending the light into the sky in the form of sparklers attached to heart-shaped balloons. (Click on photos for bigger images.)

Perhaps the greatest tribute to the inspiration which Isa, together with his beloved wife and partner Yolanda, brought through life, work and example, is in the many ways that Releasing not only continues, but also grows and expands around the world. Isa rejoiced to hear of these activities right up until the moment of his passing. Ongoing activities by the Lindwall Foundation include:
Outreach Project in South Africa
Stephen Marcus and Barbara Kroll are currently in South Africa teaching Releasing in the township of Khayelitsha, near Cape Town, and most recently in the town of Cradock, still divided by traumatic events from the time of apartheid. They have been deeply moved by the openness of the Xhosa people to the Releasing work. More ...
Outreach Project in New Orleans
Jeannie Whyte, Executive Director of the Lindwall Foundation, has taken the Outreach work closer to "home" with ongoing visits to New Orleans to bring Releasing to support economically disadvantaged residents still striken by the effects of Hurricane Katrina. Jeannie will be returning to New Orleans in August, October and December 2007 to do further work with the Common Ground Relief Organization. More ...
Releasing in Northern California
Board Member Voge Smith and her husband Hugh, authors of the book "I Release, Create the Life That Makes Your Heart Sing", also offer sessions, frequent workshops and ongoing groups. See www.towardwholeness.com.
