I Release and Let Go ... A Report on the South African Outreach Program
Dr. Stephen M. Marcus and Barbara Kroll
Note: Stephen and Barbara plan to return to South Africa in October this year to continue their work)
As
we look back on the last six months in South Africa and say "goodbye
for now" to the many new friends we have made, what is most striking is
not just the quantity of people we have touched with the Releasing
work, nor even their diversity, it is the profound shift that
particular individuals have made in their lives. Invited behind the
thin walls of the shacks and townships into the lives of youth and
adults alike, we have found humanity in places where a year ago we
would have been afraid to even look.

Lindwall Foundation Brings Lindwall Releasing ® To the Survivors of Hurricane Katrina A report on the New Orleans Outreach Program
by Jeannie Whyte, Executive Director
Note: Jeannie has been asked to return to New Orleans to conduct workshops in August, October, and December of this year.In
the Fall of 2006 I received an e-mail describing an event initiated by
David and Rebecca Floeter together with Gayneille and Cyril Neville
(Aaron Neville's brother, the famous musician, who is also a New
Orleans resident). The project was called "Operation
Transformation" to take place in the Lower 9th Ward during Mardi Gras
weekend of February 18, 2007. They all had one powerful common
denominator, they were all being spiritually driven to restore "hope"
to those who were still living through the nightmare of Hurricane
Katrina.

Thirteen Years of Releasing and Going Strong!
Former Board Member Voge Smith and her husband Hugh
Isa's
Legacy of Releasing has remained alive and strong in the San Francisco
Bay Area ever since 1989, when Isa and Yolanda first came here and we
participated in our 1st Lindwall Releasing Workshop.
That same
week, I began working with clients in a new way by incorporating the
Releasing Process. Immediately clients were blown away by the results
they experienced in their sessions, not to mention the ripple effect in
their lives.

Isa's memorial service
Photo: Stephen Marcus/Odyssey Magazine Dec/Jan 2006
was
held on April 22, 2007 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. For those who
were unable to be with us physically, know that you were with us in
spirit. We wish to thank you for all the loving words you have so
eloquently expressed in your emails and other communications.
Doc,
"Isa", touched not only the minds, but also the hearts and souls of
thousands of people from every walk of life with his tender, loving
commitment and with his dedication to serving all of life. He was
born on May 4, 1919, raised in Rhinelander, Wisconsin and was one of
five boys. He always had a love of nature and spent as much time
as possible in his youth either playing outdoors, chopping wood with
his father, hunting or fishing. Even while in the military during
World War II, he would often sneak off base to go into the woods
because this was where he could commune with the "holiness" he felt
within and all around him.
After serving in the
military, he pursued his passion to become a healer and entered college
as a pre-med student. However, due to an injury sustained during
the war, he was in constant pain, so sitting all day for classes was
almost unbearable. One day a friend suggested he visit a local
chiropractor. Since no other medical intervention had relieved
his discomfort, he decided to give it a try. He came away after
just one visit completely relieved from his years of suffering.
This made him question whether becoming a medical physician would
provide him the opportunity to become a true healer. After much
deliberation he decided to visit Logan College of Chiropractic in St.
Louis, Missouri.
Isa's chiropractic career created the
opportunity for him to continue the use of varied healing techniques he
had studied over the years. This brought people from all over the
world seeking this special man's ability to heal.
After
34 years of a very successful chiropractic practice, he "retired" in
1984 and he and his wife Ruth (Yolanda) devoted themselves full-time to
the one technique that he discovered to have the most powerful and
lasting affects. That technique had been developed after years of
asking Spirit to provide him with a method that would actually heal
rather than to simply treat and re-treat his patients. We
all now know that technique as "Lindwall Releasing®".
People
exposed to this process began to experience immediate relief from the
pains and suffering of limiting and negative thinking patterns.
Isa
and Yolanda traveled to 39 countries over 25 years giving lectures and
workshops on Releasing and helping thousands of people improve their
health and life. After their last visit to South Africa in 2006,
Isa began having problems with his circulation. Heredity and
years of standing on his feet in his Chiropractic career had taken
their toll on his vascular system and heart. He never complained
as his health failed and was even doing Releasing work with the doctors
and nurses during his brief hospital stays. He was at home in Hot
Springs when he made his transition. On the morning of April 15,
2007, the last word he uttered to Yolanda was "peace". She asked
him, "Do you mean you are at peace?" He nodded "yes" as he began
to slip gently to the other side to be with Spirit Most High.
To
honor him in the manner in which we knew would be befitting this great
man, the service at the funeral home on April 22 became a grand
celebration of a life that was larger than all outdoors.
Friends from all over the world came to show respects and to share the
wonderful "Isa-stories" that were as individual as each one who came to
visit. The stories made us laugh as well as cry, remembering our
dearly loved Isa.
Dr. Richard and Barbara Rankin
directed the service as well as Unity ministers, Rev. Joe Rowe and Rev.
Leona Lawson. Each spoke leaving us with the message that
Isa will always be with each of us. Soloist Chana Caylor sang,
"What the World Needs Now", one of Isa's favorites. A compilation of
photos on DVD depicting Isa's life of service and dedication to mankind
was then shown. The Hot Springs VFW Military Honor Guard
performed taps and presented Yolanda with the U.S. flag from Isa's
coffin. Then family members James Shaw, Rob Stem, Petra Leibfried
and Gina Stem-Shaw spoke of how meaningful Isa had been in their
lives. Following them, Yolanda expressed her
appreciation to all who had welcomed Isa and herself into their lives
and gratitude for the dedication to spread Isa's legacy, "Lindwall
Releasing®".
The ceremony continued in celebration by
everyone circling the room and singing the uplifting gospel song, "I
Release and I Let Go". Then the congregation danced down the
aisle singing, praising, and thanking the giant of a man with the heart
of a saint.

Gratitude and Heartfelt Thanks to Everyone from Yolanda and Her Family
L-R Petra Liebfried, Rob Stem, Lera Smith, Jack Smith, Yolanda Lindwall, Gina Stem-Shaw, James Shaw
by Gina Stem-Shaw, daughter
As
you might imagine we have received the outpouring of love from you all,
especially during these past few months. All the stories and
wonderful sharing you have done with us to let us know the real impact
the work and Isa and Yolanda have had in your lives has been very
moving and at times emotionally overwhelming. It will not be the
same for any of us without Isa and this is especially true for Mother
(Yolanda).
The cards, letters, emails and phone calls
continue to come and are all appreciated, but with the overload may go
unanswered for a while. All the very special moments they both
shared with you throughout the years has meant so much to them.
The memories flood in and are so joyful... it seems hard to be sad, and
yet we are.
The reality of Isa's physical passing is an
event we are all learning to cope with individually, as a family, and
as an organization. Mother wants to and is continuing the work
she and Isa started so many years ago. She is already writing and
planning classes at a much quicker pace than anyone expected. As
her daughter, I hope she will rest a little and give herself some
time. With our love, I know she has a chance to recover and
regroup before she heads out to all points at full steam. She
looks forward to seeing and speaking to each of you in her next
travels. I'm very grateful to you all for your loving wishes for
her and our family. Thanks again to you all. Love, Gina |
